Indian Railways (IR) is looking at surpassing the target in the present fiscal year. A total of 4,475 RKMs is expected to be completed before the end of 2018-19.
According to sources in the Railway Board, IR aims to complete Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) inspection of the following sections before March end.
IR is in the process of electrification of the entire BG network under the ‘Mission 100% Electrification’ plan. Under this mission, IR completed a record 4,087 Route Kilometers (RKM) of electrification in the fiscal year 2017-2018.
