Maskless Travel: CR collects Rs. 77,000 fine

On Mumbai division, 446 passengers were found without wearing mask and Rs. 77,000/- was released as fine from 17.04.2021 to 30.04.2021.

Mumbai Division of Central Railway also conducted intensive and regular ticket checking drives in suburban in April 2021.  During these checks,42,858 cases were detected in suburban trains realising an amount of Rs.1.20 crore as penalty.

Central Railway in its endeavour to provide better services to bonafide rail users and also to curb the ticketless travel, has regularly conducted intensive campaigns against ticketless and irregular travel. Persons as permitted by Break the Chain notification of State Government are only allowed to travel in suburban trains.

 Commuters are advised to adhere all norms, SOPs related to COVID19 in railway premises including trains.
