
Northern Railway’s Delhi Division has successfully commissioned the electronic interlocking based signalling system at Delhi Kishanganj (DKZ) railway station on May 13, 2026.

The upgradation work took place from May 5, 2026 to May 13, 2026 and was done at a cost of Rs 34 crore.

Delhi Kishanganj Railway station is now better equipped to handle train operations as the EI system improves safety, reliability, operational efficiency and smooth train movements in the section.

The upgraded system incorporates modern signalling technology with improved fail-safe features and better monitoring.
