RVNL bags ECoR’s Nergundi-Barang & Khurda Road-Vizianagaram 385-km long 3rd line tender

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), an Indian Railways’ public sector construction arm on Thursday evening informed stock exchanges that it had emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) from East Coast Railway for a ₹404.88 crore project, including GST.

The project involves the execution of the 3rd line and allied railway infrastructure works on the Bhadrak–Vizianagaram Section, covering a total stretch of 385 km across Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.

The project covers:

• Nergundi–Barang: 22 km

• Khurda Road–Vizianagaram: 363 km

• Total length: 385 km

• Project cost: ₹404.88 crore, including GST

• Execution period: 30 months

The scope of work includes road bed construction, minor and major bridges, RUBs/LHS, building works, ballast supply, Permanent Way linking and allied works, along with utility shifting, S&T and electrification works, general service works, power supply arrangements, and shifting/modification of HT and LT lines.
