SECR completes Champa-Jharsuguda electrified third line

South East Central Railway (SECR) has completed the works of laying the third line between Champa and Jharsuguda. SECR also completed electrification of the third line.

Works of laying and electrification of the third line on the 151-km section between Champa and Jharsuguda was finished post the completion of the final phase between Brajrajnagar-Jharsuguda (11.6 km).

Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) Southeastern Circle A K Rai inspected the Brajrajnagar-Jharsuguda electrified third line.

The CRS inspected the entire work including interlocking. Train operations will start only after CRS permission is obtained.

The CRS did a speed trial of Brajrajnagar to Jharsuguda electrified (11.6 km) new line with motor trolley protection and observation car.

During the inspection, he made an in-depth study and view of all aspects related to interlocking, bridge as well as operations, drafts and also discussed necessary guidelines.

The CRS was accompanied among others by Chief Administrative Officer (Construction), Principal Chief Engineer and the Divisional Railway Manager.
