Six empty wagons of a goods train derail on NER’s Izatnagar division

Six wagons of an empty goods train, UPBCNE / 94182, derailed at 4.10 hours on the KM 208 between Ganj Dundwara and Patiali railway stations on Kasganj-Farrukhabad section of  North Eastern Railway’s (NER) Izatnagar division.

The accident relief train from Kasganj reached at 705 hours while the crane from Kasganj reached at 650 hours.

Another accident relief train from Kanpur Central reached the site of the accident at 905 hours.

As per the latest update DRM Izatnagar Ashutosh Pant reached the accident site at 900 hours and inspected the on going relief works.

As soon as the information of the derailment was received, railway employees  from nearby locations reached the site  for starting relief works.

Senior officials of Izatnagar division ADRM (Operations) Ajay Varshney, Sr. DEN (Coordn) Akhilesh Tripathi, Sr DEN (II) A.K. Singh, Sr DSO N.K. Joshi, Sr DME (C&W) Naveen Kumar Singh, Sr DSTE Ashish Singh, Sr DEE (TRD) Satendra Singh reached the spot at 7.45 hours.

The Divisional Railway Manager of Izatnagar division Ashutosh Pant along with ADRM (Infrastructure) Ashish Kumar Agrawal along with branch officials are taking stock of the relief work and providing necessary guidelines for re-railing the wagons from the divisional control room.

The remaining portion of the derailed freight train has been stabled at Patiali yard at 09.10 am. The task of re-railing the derailed wagons is being done on a war footing.

Train number 09452 Bhagalpur-Gandhidham Express was diverted and re-routed via Farrukhabad-Shikohabad due to the derailment.
