South Eastern Railway has re-enabled the use of the Unreserved ticketing app UTS on Mobile for suburban routes under its jurisdiction.
The app has been enabled from today, allowing passengers to book daily, return and season tickets for journey within suburban sections of the zone.
The UTS on Mobile app has been re-enabled in order to reduce crowds at counters and ATVM kiosks and help maintain COVID-19 protocols, says a statement from SER.
Indian Railways had disabled use of the app with the COVID-19 lockdown, after having shut down all services. While services have gradually restarted, unreserved travel remains barred for much of the network.
