Coordinating with other railways to deliver medicines

Central Railway also coordinates with other railways in sending urgent medicines, camel milk to patients. Recently, a child from Secunderabad under special treatment needed the camel milk from Falna which was handed over via Bandra Terminus, CSMT to Secunderabad in 28 hours.

In another incident of quick thinking, the parcel office collected the medicine parcel from Vikhroli in Mumbai to Chiplun for a heart patient and booked it on Okha-Ernakulam parcel train.  Though the train does not halt at Chiplun, the staff coordinated with Konkan Railway and requested a halt to drop the parcel which was then handed over the Chiplun Station Master.
