NFR-NDRF Jointly Carry Out Sanitization Of NFR HQ

A special drive for sanitization was undertaken today at NFR HQ complex, Maligaon in view of the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Apart from railway officials, a team from the 1st BN NDRF based at Patgaon of Kamrup (Metro) district also participated in the sanitization drive. Sodium Hypochlorite solution was sprayed out as disinfectant by the NDRF rescuers along with NFR officials to check the transmission of COVID – 19 virus in NFR HQ complex building.

All the offices of the HQ complex were properly disinfected by the team during the special drive. During the drive social distancing was also maintained.The New Guwahati Train Crew Rest Room under Lumding Division of N. F Railway was also disinfected today by another team of the 1st BN NDRF. The entire Crew RestRoom building was thoroughly disinfected by thermal fogging.Resource persons from the 1st BN National Disaster Management Response Force advised officials present regarding preparedness to be maintained. The activities conducted by NDRF team are apt considering the overall COVID-19 situation in the country.

The overall Programme was aimed at conveying the importance of Office DisasterManagement Plan and apprising the officers and officials of their roles and responsibilities to follow Government Guidelines on COVID-19.This special drive was in addition to regular drives that are undertaken for disinfection of all the railway premises at regular intervals.
